Does anyone know where I can get a cam retainer cap for my 1999 4.7 jeep? I was swapping in the HO cams, and one of the retainer caps broke in half. Let me know if you can help.

Thanks-

The caps are machined in place and only fit in the position they were intended. The only way to truely fix it is to remove the head and have it line bored with a new cap.

yea, you will be screwed if you dont pull the head, the wear patterns will we WAY off and will cause the cam to bind

Ok, then let me ask you this.... What would happen if I'd put the cracked one back on? It was cracked when I took it off, and everything was working fine.

Not trying to be a *ick, just don't really have the time/cash right now to take off a head right now.
