4.0 Ranger 4x4 with 31x10.50 bfg at with stock suspension

vrs

99 dak 5.2L 4x4 with 33x12.5 super swamp and 6" susp lift.

I am pretty sure we each have 3.92's. And the ranger owner swears he will pull my dak backwards. Is he outa his mind? I'd hate to break his lil ferd.

The Ranger will be ripped in half. My roommate has one and he won't race or hook to me because he knows that his ass would be grass, even though he has a better differential than I do. Go jerk that Ranger to pieces! Oh, and your truck weighs one HELL of a lot more than the Ranger, so technically you could lock your brakes and he'd just spin like HELL.

Chain your hitch to his hitch and you would literally pull his azz off the ground due to the angle of the chain ;)

yeah the 5.2 would tear that 4.slow a new one!!
let me hook my 4.7L to the ranger :-P
I'll show it a good time!!!!! heck, I would even stay in 2wd!!
now if it was a 3.9 vs a 4.0, that would be a pretty good fight (IMHO)

i used to drive a 93 ranger with a 2.3. When looking to buy a new truck i drove a 4.0 ranger auto and stick. For the heck of it i went and test drove a dakota. The dakota 4.7 will kick its butt. I'm sure your 5.2 will too.

I wonder, if you pull off hard fast in 4x4 low, would it be possible to snatch that unibody POS in half? I'd pay you to see that!

Ranger is not a unibody - pickups are full frame.

Not all Fords! I know Ford switched to a unibody design and I thought the new Rangers were affected by it. Hell I used to have info on the matter, but I forget where the heck it was I found it! If I come across it again I'll re-read it and post a link, maybe I was mistaken about the Ranger being unibody.

All the new Ford pickups I've seen are still full frame. Some give the illusion of the body being connected by sculpting the body lines so you don't see the gap between the bed and cab; but they are still full frame.
