Subject: Fuel Tank IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2001 RC Sport with a 4.7l. Everything I've read, including the original sticker out of the window (from the dealer) says that I have a 22 gallon tank, but I've yet to put in more than 15 gallons and I've ran it dry more than once. Any thoughts?

Message: I seem to recall reading an email posted somewhere from DC stating that there was some discrepancy in the tank size. The bottom couple gallons are never consumed in order to keep any crud that may accumulate in the tank from making its way into the engine.
FWIW, my 1992 CC has never taken more than 17-18 gal, and it too is supposed to have a 22 gal tank. Never ran it dry though, although the gauge was very low.

Message: Odd, I filled my '92 up with 21gal once. Maybe I should try it on the '95.
