I plan on installing new upper balls joint this weekend. I am going with the Moog uppers. What does Moog use to replace the upper stock rivets?

They use hardened steel bolts with lock washers.

Check the bolts that come with the new joint and see if they fit in the control arm and ball joint snugly. If memory serves me correctly,,, the bolts that came with the moog joints were way too small in diameter and I had to get 6-3/8" grade 8 bolts, nuts and lock washers to complete the job.

There is no reason to change the bolts that come with the new joints
