Subject: high idle IP: Logged
Message: i have a 2000 dak,4x4,4.7.
bought just over a year ago and has always idled low and sometimes stalled on certain mornings.
recently cleaned tb and put in new plugs.
within the past week it still idles low but now after driving a few miles it will idle from 900 to 1300 and i have to rev it to come down.
any ideas???

Message: it sounds like yout throttle is sticking slightly open. you might try some wd40 or something, to lube it up. make sure you hit the cable and the throttle arm, along with the inside around the butterfly....

Message: If it doesn't respond to that, you may have stressed the IAC (idle air control) when you cleaned the TB. Could be some dirt impeding operation, or it could be shot.
