I've got a 97 5.2 Dak 2x4 A500 auto. Has anyone ever attenpted to use a 5.9 PCM on a 5.2 Dak?

If you have, I would like to chat with you. Some say it won't work, others say it will.

Ideas? Comments? Flames?

Regards, ARG

I highly believe that it won't work, but i'm only 95% sure... I don't think it'll be compatable to your system.... may even problems even if the plugs match....
what are ya trying to gain by doing this?
HP? Torque? just trying to get some insight as to whats leading you into the PCM swap in the first place....
You might have better gains from mechanical items....I/E exhaust work, Throttle body swap, intake manifold change, etc...

I can get a used 2000 R/T PCM for $60.00. And yes, I am looking for a cheap HP and torque solution.

I already have the K&N FIPK, and have done all the "easy " mods, like the timming advance, lower 180 thermostat, air temp sensor relocate...etc....

I'm buying a used 2000 R/T 3.92 9-1/4 posi diff today (with sway bar).

As soon as I get some more money saved up, I'm going to try the bigger throttle body.

A lot of people say it will run rich with 5.9 PCM, but the 5.9 is only .7 of a litre larger in displacememnt.

So what do you think??
