Okay, I searched that and came up with governer pressure to low. Maybe that's why first gear takes so long to shift. Anybody else have this problem? Can I drive around with this problem for a day, or should it go right to the dealership soon as possible?

i had that code to come up on my truck. I have a 97 v6 dak and we just put the tranny back in and it brought up that code. how the heck do ya fix it? I drove around a couple miles with the MIL light on and the only thing i noticed is that it won't go into a lower gear when you mash the gas pedal down to accelerate like when passing or starting from a stop. I talked to a guy and he said that I could put it in 2nd while stopped and then shift into D after i reach about 15-20 mph. Don't know if that helps any but its starting to make a little bit of a difference when i start off in D.
