I have a 99 5.2 5 speed Dak that starting reading on the cold side 160-170ish since last winter, well I put a 180 stat in this weekend and now its reading like 150-160. I was going to clean the temperature sending unit to see if that helps it get a more acurate reading, but I don't know where it is.

the ect sensor is on the right front of the intake manifold next to the thermostat housing. if you are looking at the engine from the front, look down to the left hand side of the t-stat housing and you will see it about 1 1/2" away from it. hope this help
