Subject: Exhaust and Limited slip question IP: Logged
Message: First question is, If I put headers on my 2000 5.9 dak. and remove the Catalytic converter, will this cause any problems? I don't really like the sound of the catback systems and want to just have dual exhaust all the way back with turbos.
I also have been having a problem with the limited slip rear end. It started make like a clicking sound which wasn't too bad until I brought it into the dealer and they serviced it. For a while it was fine then it started to sound like it was binding when taking off. I tried putting some of the anti friction additive in it which seemed to help a little but it still does it.

Message: Unless you've done some major intake stuff, i.e. FIPK, Throttle body, intake manifold, true duals will kill your torque, actually making your truck slower off the line. I'm going to duals eventually, I want the MBRP Cuda style, the last thing I need before I do that is the M1 manifold and 52 mm TB.
How many miles on your truck? it could be that the plates in the LSD are chewed up....
