Subject: wont start IP: Logged
Message: i have a 92 dakota and was involved in a minor accident. i had replace the fan blade and radiator. it started fine before i replaced it but now no spark and just cranks. could the coil have gotten wet?

Message: Did you check for moisture in the distrbutor cap ? That would be more likely.

Message: no, i figured since the distributer cap is in the back on the engine and it wasnt wet back there

Message: the thing that i cant figure out is it overheated and i parked for 4 hours then drove home a mile and it ran fine. now it wont start

Message: I had a '92 5.2 that had the PCM fail at 160,000 miles. Have a mechanic help you check for spark on one of your plug wires. Was the rotor corroded? Water in the gas? Fuel filter old?
