i have a stock 2002 4.7 auto 4x2 what should i shift at. i ran a 15.80 spinning last fri.time t start the bolt ons thanx for any help

Shift at 5000 the power stars to drop fast after that. Don't launch at to high of a RPM you will just blow the tires. I have had some good times with little traction by launching at just above idle. That way the truck hooks and you are gone. If you are comparing to what other people are running remember that altitude has alot to do with the times. I run at 3000 feet. Basically a 1/2 second deficit.
