Subject: Spark plugs and Gap! IP: Logged
Message: Purchasing new plugs today, want to try out autolite 3923's, any feed back would be appreciated on those type of plugs. Also if anyone knows, what is the gap supposed to be set at for a 92 dak 5.2?

Message: I run them (3923s) at 0.040 on my 1995 5.2L. Really smooth idle and good throttle response.

Message: Very cool! Thanks for the response. Im currently running Accel High performance wires. I installed these wires last year, are they due for changing? Is it really worth changing your wires every year? How can you tell when they needed to be changed, can you test them?

Message: i have a 94 5.2 and i gapped my plugs at .035 cuz thats what it says inside the hood. now it takes about 1o seconds for my motor to turn over. could that be because of the gap. whould i go to .040? or could it be something else? tia

Message: I just put in 3923's on my 4.7 and it smoothed everything right up and have better throttle response, not much but it's noticable. Put a home-brew intake on at the same time so I'm fully sure which helped out throttle response more.Gapped to .040.
