Subject: Fake R/Ts?!?!? IP: Logged
Message: Kind of a stupid question to ask 3 weeks after I bought the truck but here goes...How do I KNOW my '00 CC is an original R/T? From what I've seen online there are folks out there dressing up their sports with R/T badging and saying they are real. How do I know for sure?

Message: if it is a true 5.9 cc, then it is an r/t no other cc's have 360's in them.

Message: write to www.dodge.com they will send you a copy of all the features of your truck etc. or you can check on www.autocheck.com or www.carfax.com. usually r/t's have matched painted bumpers, aluminum drive shaft (some other models due too), a 360 ci (duh), a trans cooler in front of the condenser (some other models do too), most of the factory options although mine didn't come with power seats or leather. the best way to know is to write dodge.

Message: don't forget the rear sway bar, 17's, and badging. throw all of the things from this post and my other post and it's a pretty good chance it's an r/t.

Message: Okay, I think it's legit...has the badging, 3.92 LSD, HUGE driveshaft(presumably aluminum), monocolor paint, power driver seat, 17" rims and the 8th digit in the VIN is a Z. Question, the aux. tranny cooler...should look like a mini radiator in front of the A/C radiator??? Because that I don't have. Just 2, the regular radiator and a thinner one for the A/C. BTW, why 2 fans(clutch and 1 electric), is this because of having the 2 radiators?

Message: it's definitely an r/t.
2 fans..the electric fan kicks on at 220 degrees, off at 216 degrees....and kicks on when you run the ac...the clutch fan operates according to air temp.(rpm increases as temp rises).
tranny cooler is at front of main radiator radiator..down low, even with bumper.

Message: Yeah, the aux tranny cooler should be a mini radiator off to the passenger side. was an optional item, but is always a good idea, especially in this series of truck. consider it 60 bucks worth of insurance for your tranny.
