Message: lose 2 mpg? Are you sure, i put in the 180 and my milage is about the same. Mid 17's per gallon most of the time. Sometimes less if i am in traffic a bunch.
But i do notice a fuel savings by not using my a/c. About a mile or so a gallon.

Message: You won't lose a damn thing. I have a '95 5.2L 4x4 CC and I run a 180deg thermo in it. It didn't lose a bit of mileage. Hell, I get 19.6mpg city now. That is with other mods, not just a thermo. Anyway, do the 180, just don't go to 160. 160 is too cold and will give you a HP boost, but will wear your engine like there's no tomorrow.
