Good luck finding one that isn't wrecked for that much.
The resale value of these trucks is too high, plus the motor being new and all. I think that motor is only 4-5 years old or something like that. Your best bet would be to look for a 5.2L V8. You might be able to find a 98 model for that much. Hope this helps.

I dont think the engine is even that old....I think they started using them in the 2000 model

just drove past the local dealership...2002 rc 4.7 3.92 LS 5spd...forgot the price sorry! it had the 16" wheel pckg, and was black like ma dak!
If I didnt like to cruise so much, I would have gotten the RC.

They actually started them in some Daks in late '99. Though i've only seen maybe one person posting that had theirs built in '99. Mine is a '00. Though next time I may opt for an RC rather than a CC. We'll see. I do love this truck though.

Is it easier or harder to find a 5.2L or 4.7?? thats the only reason why i was looking for the 4.7, ive seen quite a few only auto.

I Have a 2001 club cab it is the best vehicle i have ever owned. The rangers are smaller and have no room, wempe engines.The s10s have a gas hog 4.3,no power. I like everything on these trucks,except they need 4 wheel disk brakes .The engine is very powerful.Cab is roomy. Mine is a black 4x4.Any complaints on your dakotas?
