I have a 2000 4.7 with the HO Cams installed can anyone tell what intake manifold is better? I understand that there are some differences between the 02 manifold and the 03/04 manifolds and I'm not clear which one gives the best preformance.

I have a 2000 with the HO cams and 2004 intake manifold. I can't tell you if it's better than the 2002 because I never installed the 2002 HO intake. I'm also running a Dynomax Ultraflo 2.5" catback, K&N FIPK II and a Fastman 68mm TB so, you need to take that in to account when determining if you'll see any gains. I can tell you that I didn't notice any loss of bottom end torque and I did have better top end power. It's not a drop in swap for the 2000 intake, you're going to have to buy some other parts. The newer PCV tube and valve is different so your 2000 tube won't work on the 2004. You'll also need a vacuum T because there are less fittings on the 2004 manifold than on the 2000. All during the removal and installation process, the oil dipstick tube was constantly getting in the way so, it's going to take longer than you think to change the intake. Also, the A/C compressor and powersteering pump come off easy enough but, they're both serious pains to get back on.
I don't know if you're going to notice enough of a difference to justify changing to the newer manifold. I mainly see a noticable gain above 5000 rpm and I don't have a roughness or vibration in the pedal above 95 mph like the 2000 manifold did.
Good luck, I hope this helps.
