I have a 98 dakota Black 5.2 4x4.. The paint on the tops of the fenders, roof and hood is peeling in spots. Looks like the clear coat is flaking and it is a white powdery look. Any one else have this problem with their truck. I contaced Dodge.com and they said sorry nothing they can do. What is that bull sh&*.. They only give you a 5 year paint job now a days?? Any one know who else I can contact I would appreciate it..

My father has a 98 Jeep 5.9 and the clear coat has begun to flake on it too, although the paint isn't nearly as oxidized as you claim yours is. Yeah I guess it's kind of sad there isn't much you can do about it except get a paint job.
