Subject: tranny bolt pattern

i have a 91 dak and it has a v6 3.9 in it and i was wondering if the bolt pattern is the same as the 5.2 the tranny is a 5 speed if it makes a difference

thank you very much maybe you can tell me if it is very hard to put the 5.2 in my truck.. can i just change the computer or do i have to change the whole engine wiring harness

You'll need a crossmember (engine_swaps.com) for the engine mounts if you use an LA 318. A Magnum 318 will mount same as the 3.9. The 5-speed is marginal in strength when behind the V8. If you use the same style induction ('89-'91 TBI on the 318) no wiring changes are necessary.

thanks for the help do i need to change the computer still and also you said the magnum 318 will bolt the same as my tbi 3.9 can i put the 318 tbi on it or should i keep the mpi and can i change the computer to make the mpi work or does it take more than that and the 5 speed you said it is marginal can i make it stronger do they make kits for them cause i would like to keep the 5 speed
