Subject: FMS Injectors for 4.7 IP: Logged
Message: Hey all. I've heard you can use the ford motorspots 24# injectors in our 4.7l dakotas... I was wondering if this is true, and if you need to maybe flash or reset your computer after the change to account for the new gas?

Message: Bigger injectors only benefit you if you NEED them. If you've got an all motor 4.7 that is mildly (or even heavily) modded, you almost certainly won't need them.

Message: I read somewhere on this forum that even though the injectors that Chrysler puts on the 4.7L are rated at 22.5 lb/hr, their actual performance is closer to 16 lb/hr. I don't know if the person that posted that actually knew this for sure but, if it was factual then, maybe the FMS injectors are desirable if the price is right and @ 16 lb/hr the Mopar injectors are over rated and insufficient for the task.

Message: Still, before you drop the cash for injectors, spend 60 bucks on a dyno session with A/F ratio shown, see how it's looking. The injectors we've got for a lot of peoples trucks should be more than enough.
