Message: I have a 00 R/T. When I turn on the headlights, both turnsignals come on and stay on, the doorlocks pop up and down, the p/w don't work, dashlights stay off, the interior lights won't work. My dealership won't look at it because of my "Aftermarket electronic accessories" such as strobe lights, under vehicle neon and neon interior lights, none of which are wired in through anything (separate wiring right from battery)The only other aftermarket item is a professionally installed alpine alarm system. This is driving me nuts, so please help

Message: It sounds like something may not be properly grounded. What you might have to do is start disconnecting after-market accessories one and a time, leaving them disconnected till you can resolve the problem. After rereading you post, I would disconnect all after-market items and see if your problem goes away. What can happen when something light a strobe light goes off and on and you have long wires connecting these to the battery, you may be inducing current into wires running close to the after market wiring interfering with their operation.

Message: it doesn't seem to matter whether or not the aftermarket stuff is on or off.

Message: Hmmm...have you considered calling a priest? Sounds like your rig needs an excorcism my friend. Seriously though, I have no idea. Never heard of such a thing. I'd get it into a good shop soon though, who knows what kinda $hit could happen. Waitaminnit...all your aftermarket stuff is run off the battery??? Weren't there any empty spaces left in the fuse panel? Must look like a wire scrap heap under your hood with all that stuff wired onto your battery. Take it all out and have someone do it for you, or if you just take your time you could do it yourself. Good luck with your rig man.

Message: I finally got her fixed. One of the grounds was loose under the dash. The one wire was just not getting proper contact. I spent a lot of time on the wiring, and it looks better than the wiring that the "professional" alarm system installer did.
