Hey guys, I know there is already a post somewhere in here about air intake systems on a 4.7, but i can't find it now. Anyway, I have heard the AEM Brute Force alot on the boards, so what would you suggest for the most power and airflow on my new 4.7 QC 4x4? What seems to work for you guys? Thanks!

Visit my website for a list of all the homebrew intake webpages with some opinions about this mod. The homebrew is not offroad water proof, but neither is most $300 aftermarket intakes either.

Check these out
360 air intakez sell 3.5" and 4.0" aluminum tubes that you cut down to fit for different intakes. I bought one from ebay from somebody that had already cut it to fit for a 4.7L. I think it was for about $30 or $40. Then I bought one of these cheap intake kits off of ebay.

This too was about $40 or $45. I didn't like the small air filter so I bought a K&N air filter for $40 that was the same exact one for the K&N intake.
All together It cost me $120.
It looks very similar to the Airraid setup but it has the aluminum tube.
The tube makes it look nice but the open air filter is what gives it that aggressive sound
