I have a 93 Dakota with 80,000 miles on it. It is haveing a shifting problem. It will not go into third gear sometimes, and is hesitant about downshifting when I slow down. I had a tranny cooler installed last year, shortly before this problem arose, could they be related. Does abybody have any quick fix ideas, I'm not looking to put a lot of money into an older truck. ALso, for a couple years when I start the truck in the morning, I shift into reverse and get little or no power, but that quickly goes away. I sometimes go weeks at a time without driving this truck, and the problems seem to be worse the longer it sits.
