Subject: gran fury 318 to dakota. will it work?

i have an 88 plymouth gran fury that i bought for the 318 that is in it. i was woundering if the 318 from the two wheel drive will bolt up to a four-wheel drive standard 88 dakota trany.

If it's the V6 Dakota, the bolt pattern is the same as the 318. The crank in the 318 has probably not been drilled for the bushing needed when using a standard transmission, so this would have to be done. The crank bushing/bearing must be in place or the tranny pilot shaft will seize in the crank.
