I finally got my 212s installed ( after forgetting the lash caps and developing an oil leak on the back of one of the valve covers I had to go back in and install the lash caps and get a new gasket, old one ripped on the first install )..anyways...I've got about 50 miles on them so far and they are awesome. I'll report again when I've got about a 100 miles on them but so far they are worth every penny and the wait to get them. Oh yeah, it looks like they raised the price on them just recently, anyone know why ?

Do the KRC 206 and 212 cams require new valve springs to operate safely? My understanding is that the 212's need a redline of 6500-7000 rpm. Is this correct for both cams? If so, then a custom flash is required to raise the engine redline?

b1llyw,

That sucks, was it something that Crane is doing to everyone or just you guys. I thought it was something like that. Hey, thanks for the help, You guys have awesome customer support. I was all worried about how to install those lash caps and kept calling. Turns out you cant really screw them up. They only go in one way.

Jeeper,

The guys at KRC told me that the valve springs were not a necessity. I havent gotten a custom flash yet and they still run strong but I'm sure that it would help. Probably will be my next mod (are there any available for an 03' ?). The truck pulls to the redline so strong and so fast I could sure use some more RPMs now.

You don't have to replace valve springs. We do recommend it on higher mileage motors. When you order, Marty can give you some advice on that.

Paul, we cannot flash '03's yet - new NGC controller. We are working on it but I really don't have a timeline.

Errrr. I'm sure not gonna spend my money on a Jet Chip. Have you heard anything good about the KB Optimizer II ? I searched some back posts and it got pretty good reviews. I'm pretty sure they do 03's.
