 Subject: What Speed Limiter? A POLL

Saturday night I found myself hurling down the freeway at 110 mph....I thought my 4.7L 45RFE tranny (and F/T 4WD) had a limiter at 99 mph. My assistant, here at work, has the 4.7L with the manual and she said she's gone 110 mph too! What limiters have you guys found? I thought it was 99 for autos and 117 for manuals? It would be cool if all you 4.7's would reply with your top-speed and if you found a limiter.

What year is your dakota? I heard that 00's is 117 and up is the 90 whatever. Ive only gone that fast twice in my truck funny thing is I was accelerating fast once and it cut off at like 97-98 but today i was accalerating slower and it went up to 105 or so before I backed off. BTW i have a 01 auto.

I was thinking about a 3 hour/282 mile stretch of a trip that I pulled in my grand prix and realized, the 98MPH limiter could be cruise control and all you have to do is hold the foot to the floor.

98. I had the cruise control on but was using the foot pedal to accelerate to that speed when it shut me down.

Mine stock was 117 with 2000 RC R/T, and now that I have the MP PCM I'm sure it drag limited but we'll have to see. Of couse this was a professional driver on a closed course there Teamfast!

Okay so I got a 98 5.2l but just for fun I found out. It was a cold night last night 1-2 C and I opened er up the limit must be over 115 mph cause I was cruising there and no "ignition interuptus"
