Subject: HELP with the right tire sizes IP: Logged
Message: I have a quick question I am looking for new tires for my 00 dak rt I am wondering what sizes I can fit on the OE 17x9 wheels. Can someone explain what the sizing on the tire means 255/55r17

Message: R/T in DC, 255, is how wide the tire is ( the bigger the number, the wider the tire)...55 is the sidewall height, (55% of the tire width)...finally, 17 is the diameter of the tire...I was told that the biggest tire I could put on my 2ooo R/T was a 275/50 17...I bought Nitto NT450, I think they are better than the stock Goodyear RSA and alot cheaper
