My true dual has been installed... and it was my least favorite expierence with my Dakota. I have a 4X4 4.7L that has no suspension changes and it was NOT a Sunday afternoon wrench job. Let me put it this way: Other than the mis-placed O2 sensors, incorrectly bent pipes, X-pipe wedged against the floor boards, scratched tips, and hangers 3 to 4 inches off... it was the perfect kit. I spent $350 EXTRA to get the whole thing adapted and welded so that it would work.
In Scott's defense, he has offered to refund me some of the money for the repairs (which I have yet to receive) to the true dual system. I would only suggest the true dual kit for those with a 4X2 set up... preferably on an R/T.
The sound is amazing... except around 5K RPM, where the tone gets very high and poppy. The interior sound is also something that you should be prepared to deal with. I put extra padding under my carpet and some Dynamat on the floor boards and the sound got to a level that you could carry on a conversation in the truck.

I love that customer service line... "I will check on your refund tomorrow". In otherwords there is a customer more important than you today and you better darn wait!
The deadline is one month after one of the following happens:
1) GS calls you crying about your forum post
2) GS calls me and offers me something akin to foot in buttocks syndrome
3) GS posts here saying we are both freakin crazy.

I am going to assume that he has already sent the check, so I will wait until it arrives to request your refund.
While we are spending money we don't already have, I have ordered some new cams with our refund moneys.
p.s. Scott, if you are reading this, go ahead and cut rgathright's refund to Thomas (aka Opie) at my address you have on file. His post should reflect consent to do this.

Oh, I hear you loud and clear. I take everything that comes across this board with a grain of salt.
I DO, however, take being used as a guinea pig for a 4X4 exhaust plan personally.
I just don't understand a few things:
1. If he did send the check, where is it? It does not take the US Mail 20 days to get a letter from CA to TX.
2. If he didn't send the check, why would he repetitively say that he did?
I have sent a Self Addressed stamped envelope to him that should have no trouble getting back to me with a check enclosed. If this route fails, I may need to make a phone call to my credit card company and have them revoke a charge for one True Dual Exhaust.
I'll keep y'all updated.

I sent him a fax today. Scott is contacting the bank to cancel the first check and is sending another one.
If he wasn't 1500 miles away, I would address this in person.
