 Subject: Need Help with my A/C

I have a 97 dodge dakota and my ac just stoped working. I thought that it ran out of refrigerant but when I hooked up the gauge it showed that I have pressure but I am getting no cold air. I looked at the pressure when the compressor turned on and the pressure drops drastically, not to zero but close. I don't know what is going on or what is wrong but any help would be appreciated.

You probable have some, but not enough Freon. If you don't know how to ensure it has the proper charge, take it to a place that can check it for you.

I had the same trouble. It is definetly low freon. Does your compressor cycle on and off rapidly? If it does, then it is low. There is a leak somewhere.
