Message: I'm ready to replace my stock GoodYear tires. Does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement that is okay for daily on road driving but looks a little more meatier than the stock tires.

Message: Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO
The "REVO" is the kicker-- killer tread pattern, excellent for mild off road (no rock climbing) good cleaning lugs, Excellent road tire, low noise, great dry grip, excellent performance in the rain.
i have P245r/70/16. Fit perfect on my 2002 SLT Plus 2wd.
I drive 95% on the highways, but it is nice to know that I can drive across my own backyard without having to have a Ford pull me out again.

Message: I got 33 inch Dueler MT's. They look awesome, they might scrub on your truck so I would go with 32's. They are a great riding tire, and are not noisy if rotated properly.

Message: I have a 2000 Dakota 4x4 and switched to the Goodyear MTR in 32x11.5 they are one inch wider and taller. They are the baddest looking tires around I get lots of looks and compliments. They fit great and I have no rubbing. They are a lot quieter than you would think.

Message: Bridgestone Dueler REVO. Got mine last fall from Belle Tire - $131 each "out-the-door". Excellent traction wet or dry. The REVOs plus my Powertrax No-Slip make for some serious 2WD traction, I only needed 4WD a couple of times this winter(in MI).

Message: I haven't made a decision yet but I am looking at the Goodyear MT/R. The local Suburban Tire is going to do a test fit of a 32 X 11.5 tomorrow although almost everything I read says it won't fit. Am I making a mistake in going with a mud terrain tire over an all terrain tire? I rarely go off road.

Message: Mud-Terrain tires aren't your best bet if you have icy winters or lots of rain...
The siping and lack of very large tread blocks on all terrain tires helps a TON when it comes to low traction situations.

Message: You know I go through this tire deal myself, from time to time. We have 02 4x4 Dakota with 265x75x16s on it and I looked around and after checking prices etc. I bought BFGoodrich 6ply from Walmart and with the FREE rotations, flat repairs Etc. I paid right at $430.00 out the door and best of all I think the tires are some of the best I have owned Not noisey on the road, great traction off-road, and it looks like they will get 50,000+ miles.

Message: They could well last that long. They can go 80,000 on mini trucks; I'd run them about 40,000 on the truck I plowed with, then hand them down to my father in law for about that much use again.

Message: Try the Pro Comp AT's. They are a little bit more money but are worth it. I easily fit 31"x12.5" on my stock height 99 4X4. The nice wide foot and open tread handle all kinds of surface. (even the mud pits) but im going to Firestone Destination MT's. Want a little more grip. Just thought i would put in my 2 cents

Message: Okay, I ended up going with the Goodyear MT/Rs 32 X 11.4. They fit without any rubbing, the closest they come is about .75 of an inch. I had them put on two days ago and I've already got some compliments. I also changed out the shocks to the Rancho 5000s. It was a very simple job to change them out. Thanks for all the advice!!
