hello fella's Just purchased & had installed a gibson cat-back. It is their new elite series.
This is what I have found out if anybody decides to purchase one of these.

first.. the muffler is much shorter than stock and the do not ship the pc you need to take up the space between cat & muffler.

second.. (my personal opinion) clampless tech they use on this system I do not care for. if you know what clampless means you'll know what I am talking about when I say you cannot get a tight fit when system is tighened up. I have 3 leaks in the system, and cannot tighten them anymore for fear of stripping out the tighening system. I am going to call gibson tech to see what can be done with this. I might have to use clamps.

third.. if you do purchase this system, see if you can get the tips that are cut back at an angle. the flush cut tips just don't look right.
don't get me wrong, the tips are made very nice, but just don't look right.

As for sound...well..hard to tell with all that hissing coming from down below. But what I do hear it has a nice "you better think twice" tone to it.

I had bought this system for 685.00
waited nearly 2 months, just trying to pass on info for those interested.

2002 dakota quad 4.7
no engine modes other than k&n drop, partcially working cat-back.
other goodies....
stainless nerf bars
stainless grille covers
bedrug bed liner (which is nice)
color match cap.
also... had to add extra leaf to truck to bring stance back to where it was before the cap.

thanks.....great site....keep on truckin.
