I dunno' if all Chevy's suck. They make my second choice for trucks, but only if I absolutly cannot get a Dodge. I also have some friend's with 'vettes that they've maintained well, and modified slightly. They're NICE and FAST! I honestly wouldn't mind owning one myself. I mean the Viper is great, but light in the rear.

the colorado is a peice of shlt plain and simple. there ugly & whats up with the 3cyl? oh and not all chevys are crap you would be ignorant if you thought that. differant trucks for differant people, its all in what you want to do with it. tow, cruise, race, work ect... there is a truck for you weather its a dodge, chevy, ford........

Yeah I agree. The new Chevy designs are NOT appealing to me at ALL. None of them, full-size, Colorado, or S-10. Once the re-work the design they might sell some. I mean I am displeased with the new Dakota design also (Gen4/2005), but I like it over those Chevies. Who said new designs have to look like azz anyway?!

Yeah, that's true. I totally dislike the Gen4 Daks. I swear it looks like a Durango in the front and an Explorer pickup in the rear. No originality at all. If this was a Ford or Chevy product I'd expect it, but this is a Dodge/Chrysler product, and those are the most imitated designs ever! Since the Gen3 have joint-issues and the Gen4 aren't pleasing to the eye, my next truck may have to be a full-sized Ram...

I'm still waiting for my first ball joint failure before I place blame on Dodge for poor design. Even if one does fail, I can almost replace all 4 ball joints for the $180.00 F^CKING dollars I just spent for a left front hub assembly!!! WHAT A RIP OFF!!!
If I didn't have to have the front end realigned, I could replace all 4 ball joints for less than the price of one front-hub/bearing assembly.
I really don't see how a hub and 2 bearings is worth $180.00. I purchased an NOS hub from a Dodge dealer in Texas for $50.00 for my 68 Charger. They haven't made that hub in over 20 years. One for my Dak is $180.00. O'Really could get it for $155.00, but I was going to have to wait 5-7 working days to get it or they could expedite the order for another $20.00.

Reality is the deal man. We all rip on Dodge to an extent...cuz theyre a damn german company now without the german engineering. Face it some of their products suck. But we stil love Dodge and our Problem-inherent Dakotas and Durangos. THATS why we own them still and belong to this site.

It's called being impatient!!
I'm just frustrated because I spent almost $200.00 this week for a part on my 19,000 mile truck when I was going to order the Mopar Performance PCM this week.
Between Uncle Sam ripping me for $800.00, the State $300.00, and my $200.00 front hub assembly, I'm going to have to wait till next month before I can purchase anything.

Just info - People at work that have the Colorado 5cyl QC 4X4 are getting 21 to 22 mpg on the highway. Not that mileage matters to a Dakota owner.

I get 19-20mpg in my '95 5.2L. So it's marginally different, big whoop. Since they have that strange 5cyl, I can say my '92 3.9L gets 20-23mpg stock, and if I modified it the way my '95 is, I'd probably get close to if not 30mpg. That and I'd still have an extra cylinder! However, a 5cyl truck getting the same stock mileage as a 6cyl is bad in my opinion. You'd think it'd be better, even if just slightly.
