Subject: headers for R/T IP: Logged
Message: i just bought a 2002 r/t and i want full exhaust!i was just wondering about where the two o2 sensors plug into the pipes.are these cats?and if so do i need them?the guy i bought it from had the "third cat" cut out when he converted to true duals, but i want full exhaust.
just wondering if there are benifits of buying those o2 simulators over keeping them.how does this affect performance and gas milage?and if i want to keep the sensors what headers should i get?does anyone make headers for an 02 r/t with inputs for the sensors?
thanks

Message: I have a 03 QC w/5.9L. I have installed Gibson headers with Dual Sport exhaust. Bolt-on. No messing with the cats or senors. Day after install, spanked a BMW 325.

Message: NEEDUMNOW--id run a 4" out, off your headers stair stepping down to final 2" pipe. if you make the transishion streach out over about 8ft with a 1/2" step every 2ft it would give you the optimum amount of back pressure, and would sound killer while elminateng the need for a muffler.
and for the headers id go with flowtech they make a very good product while offering an economical approch to it!
GOOD LUCK!!

Message: I know they are probably not as good as JBA headers, but Ebay has had a JBA look alike selling on there for about 2 months now for $200.00. If they are anywhere near the quality of the JBA headers they are worth.
Has anybody installed these JBA look alikes from EBAY?

Message: Don't know about those cheap immitations, but I got a real set of used JBA's at half the price of the new JBA's. I already had the fasteners. All I had to buy was the 2 gaskets. They perform great.
