I was watching a show on Discovery Channel about motorcycles and they did a piece on the Tomahawk. They got a such a huge response after the unvailing that they are actually going to put it into limited production. The guy who designed it is going to start with around 10 of them and go from there. Price, only $500,000 each. Start saving your pennies. They will be shipped as "non-rideable" because of liability issues, but they said that they would just disconnect the driveline to make achieve that.

Yes, I heard the same thing they will be selling 20 replicas of the original tomahawk for around 500,000$ a piece. They are being sold under the intentions of being display machines and are not road legal.

If I could afford one, I'd make it work. I'd figure something out, just so I could own every crappy crotch-rocket on the road.

I'm new here, you folks have a helluva fine board working here. Regarding the T-Hawk, I will risk alienating some of you, so I apologize ahead of time.

The T-Hawk is probably the ugliest, useless piece of s**t ever thought of, acted on and built. I have no doubt it was designed for people with a lot more $ than common sense, you know....posers with little willies Rant off.

Anyway, back to your board. Very nice, good flow and decent search capabilities. I have a '99 5.2L RC 4x4 with 106,xxx miles on the clock. this is my 2nd Dak; previously had a '96 Dak EC 3.9. Both have proved to be great trucks for the $. I just recently started noticing some handling issues and came here for some info. I had no idea the ball joints were such an issue, I will be checking them out this weekend.

BTW, regarding my comments on the T-Barge, I am an avid rider, enjoy long distance rides (>600 mile days) and own a 2001 Moto Guzzi California. I know...a Moto whazzi??

Glad to meet you all and I look forward to (hopefully) contributing....

Well, when people hear Viper associated with anything, it turns heads. I think its something damier is putting out to stimulate the whole "viper" concept again. I mean, wasnt the point of the tomahawk just a concept design? Yeah, 500 grand is a stupid amount of money but im sure damier wont have trouble finding 20 people with more money than brains. IMHO, the bigger the wad, the smaller the ****.

Anyone who rides an MotoGuzzi would hate the T-Hawk!
As for those who like it having 'little willies', you're knees would buckle at the mear sight of one. Be honest, wouldn't you like to twist the throttle on it just once?
I heard Jay Leno is waiting for one, tell HIM he's wasting his $$$ and that you think he's a little willied poseur.
I doubt anyone here will be able to buy one, self included, but I thought I'd never be able to buy a Viper GTS either, and look at the price of the '97, '98's today, not much more $ than a loaded Hemi Ram!

Steve, thanks for the welcome, great site. "Yeah": you are absolutely right about Guzzitsi hating the Hawk. It got killed in our discussions. Would I love to twist the throttle on that Viper motor? Damn straight I would. But even a monkey can twist a grip. I would rather have the opportunity to play with that motor in a platform where its brute force and nuance could be enjoyed. Regarding Jay Leno: I hate his show, But I think he is a guy any one of us would love to hang with. A real gear head and car / bike guy. I think Leno is in that rare class of folks who could enjoy the Hawk for what it is, an excercise in absurdity as someone here stated. Heck, He has Y2K, the jet powered bike. Regarding possible buyers (Leno not included), I stand by my hypothesis, little willied rich guys with trophy wives, steer horns on their mercedes, and otherwise obnoxious pinheads.

Love the site, and love to argue..seeyaaaaa!!!!
