Please help...

I have a 99 Dakota R/T. I replaced the gasket in my intake about 10,000 miles ago when I noticed the oil use and pinging. It has ran fine since then. But, Friday night it developed a new problem. My girlfriend was driving it all day, so I never noticed anything until I went to drive home.

How to explain....When I started the truck I could notice, the little rumble is gone and it was running way to smooth and quiet. When you use the throttle, it has some power, but nothing like it should. When I tried to get on the freeway, it actually slowed down when I went to full throttle.Once you get the throttle past about half way, you can here the intake just making a bogging sound. I have noticed over the last 2 months or so I have been loosing fuel milage, and as of date I am down to about 220 miles to the tank, down from 350 or so. i told my girlfriend I toned it down for her to drive, but I want it back.

The only mods on the truck to my knowledge is a throttle body spacer and then a flowmaster muffler into duals.

it will not even rev up to power to do a decent smoke show now, IN FIRST!

I am looking for all of you to help me out. I bought a code reader, but it is not throwing any out. I am hoping you all can point me in the right direction before I spend all my money on useless stuff.

Ok, just to update everyone. I took my truck to the muffler shop and had the pipe cut off right behind the cat. The guts were in the pipe, it has pretty much fallen apart in there. He left it cut for me so I can "clean" it up. When I pulled out to leave.....she's got her power back. Well, until it clogged again. Felt good for a second.

well then...

Well, I had to make a road trip and my son was sick, so I have not got it cleaned out yet. It is over at the shop now getting cleaned up. Once they are done I will take it down to get it welded back up. it has sucked the last couple of days driving around with a truck that sounds like crap. Besides that, it does not have its normal power, and I have had two people line up next to me to play, and I didn't because of the power loss and the fact it sounds so crappy.....

Well, mine is cleaned out now, and all welded back together. I have not had the light come on yet, and I bought a code reader when all of this started, and I have not seen a single code thrown yet. Seems odd that with the exhaust clogged like it was, I would think I should get a code for something. I hate knowing I spent 150 on a code reader and I am not seeing any codes.
