Message: I didn't gain much hp if any, but it did improve my mileage. However, cotton allows more air through, but it doesn't filter quite as well as the stock filters. The best one I have found is the foam filter.

Message: According to Kenne Bell's bolt-on dyno test chart, 8 hp. They show that there's lots of hp waiting to be unleashed in the 5.2/5.9 motors. Look for youself:

Message: Hmm, maybe I shoulda' gone right out and done a "floor it!" test after I added it :p! I added mine for the fuel efficiency gain, and didn't start toying with more hp until I tried the Tornado, plugs, and oil.

Ah, someone who actually purchased a Tornado. I have heard that they are junk and the arguments against them seem to make sense to me. I've always wanted to hear first hand though, what an actual user had to say about them. Is it junk, or does it somehow help perfomance or economy?

Message: It helps on older engines. If you can mount one right on top of your two-barrel, it helps. On your Gen3 however, you'd mount it in the tube behind the air-filter box and it'd be wasted dough. Now, if you can purchase one of those open-element air-filter housings like I did have it fit under the hood (it'd be on your two-barrel), it would be a big help. Right now I run it in the config below. It is behind the air-filter in that housing. I'm only running that paper POS filter because it came with the chrome housing. Once it dies I'll be using an AMS foam filter.

Message: best place to buy is online, 4filters.com, 5 minutes from K&N's factory in Cali, full assortment of their goods.
P.S. K&N is the best filter out there, hands down, dyno proven, road/track tested, been around for decades with the awards to prove their merit. I have put K&N's on a total of 10 vehicles so far (parents, girlfriends, my cars in the past)
Right now I have the just released drop in for my 04 Hemi Durango along with the K&N Performance Gold oil filter

Message: Yeah I used K&N on both my trucks, then I found something even better. You should give a good foam filter a shot. They've been used in heavy machinery for ages and I never really gave one a shot until I saw them for sale at the AMSOIL site. Read up on them, at the very least. They tend to trap more (finer) particles of debris than the gauze used in K&N, Holley, and other reusable filters, without giving up the increased air-flow.
