Subject: Manual Shifting Bang/Clunk? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 99 5.2L 5spd 4X4 CC. On my 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd shifts I get a clunk or bang when I push the clutch in. Shifting at higher RPMs it seems to be louder. It doesnt happen all the time but most of the time (some days its actually pretty smooth and other days unbearable). Any ideas. Thanks
Bob

Message: my 94 does the same thing. No idea what could be causing it. However I do know that if I push the clutch in slowly the sound is not heard. Good luck

Message: The banging and clunking is caused by one of two possible problems....the first being dereferal frequency misalignment via the stratification of the metallic particles not aligned with hysteresis. After positive inductance hysteresis realignment the first problem should be eliminated. As far as the second possibility it could be the reflux generator out of linear polarity which causes a resonance harmonic inept deplection frequency intonational scured. I hope this helps.

Message: Yeah Stratman, I don't think your "helpful" input did any good. Maybe you can install a Flux capacitor and go back to the year 2001 and help these guys out?
