I just installed the gibson cat back and a new 94000 magnaflow cat on my 94 5.2 and Its louder than expected but just what I wanted.
I was disapointed with my friends gibson system on his gen 3 4.7 It seems to be only about half as loud as mine is now. Could it be the cat or cats causing the difference?
Anyway, I can feel more power and was wondering if anyone esle would know why to two truck sounded so different.

I also own a 94 5.2. What other mods have you done to your truck and are you still runnuning thr stock exhaust manifolds with the Gibson system?
