Any DC techs out there that can tell me what flash program 56040312AD is inteded for? Hopefully it turns my 45fre into a 5-45fre but wanna know for sure?

I wouldn't even know where to look for that information. Pittdawg, if you've got a 2002, your tranny should already be a 5-45RFE.

Actually the 5-45fre wasn't introduced on the dakota till 2003, the 02's still came with the 45fre

Yeah, you're right. I asked my buddy who's got a 2001 and he said that Dodge didn't get it until 2003 but, Jeep started using it in 2001.

my 2002 calls is out as an 45fre but it has all the characteristics of the 5-45fre. Had Dodge chk it also. that just blows away what you all said. go figure

2002 QC 4x4 Sport Plus, 4.7L, auto, Patriot Blue, Tire & Handling group,
Heavy Duty Service group, Leer cap w/out windows, Mopar Step bars and roof rack, Rhino liner in bed and on step bars, Pace Edwards Power Tailgate lock
3.55 rear, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, all possible fluids are AMSOIL
