Subject: Found my Edelbrock... IP: Logged
Message: Well, the local Pep-Boys have a nice 14" Edelbrock air-cleaner assembly that I can attach my crank-case breather to. Thing is, the hose attaches behind the air-filter. That bothers me because on my current setup (stock air-cleaner assembly), where the hose goes into the assembly, the air-filter always gets dirtiest, like sometimes the hose might spit out some oil or something. I'd be worried that if something did come out of the crank-case breather hose that it'd get sucked into the engine and damage it. Can somebody clarify this for me?

Message: OK, I found one that fits the bill. You can see it installed in the pictures below. I couldn't find a 14" that didn't require an adapter and a new 14" air-filter (mine uses 10"), so while looking for an adapter, I came across a 10" x 2" Edelbrock assembly, complete with the hook-up for my crank-case breather! I snatched it up and it works great. I don't like the way the breather-hose comes straight down and then bends (see below), but it doesn't touch the engine and has about 1/4" between itself and the engine, so I'm not sweating it. I'll just keep an eye on it for signs of damage, just in case.
