Try searching on www.car-part.com - it's a good link for salvage yards.

I happen to have "good" 318 setting out in my garage as I type this.

It's got a little over 100,000 miles on it, but it ran great before I pulled it for a KRC built 360, and that's the only reason why I pulled it. It doesn't use oil, but it does have some leaks. I've repaired the belly-pan gasket on the intake, and the lifter valley looked brand new while I had the intake off.

Plus I have an A-518 transmission that came in my truck as well. Same mileage as the 318, but I went with a M-Saine built transmission, and kept mine, for the core was only going to be $200. So if I were to ship this out to Martin, I would have spent over $200.

I'd take $500 for the engine, and $600 for the tranny, however for both I'd let them go for a $1000.

It seems like a lot for used parts, but my Father-in-law owns a salvage yard, so I keep up on the prices of my Dakota parts, and that's not a bad price for a good running engine/transmission. Most good runners go for $600+ for the engines, and $700+ for the transmissions.

Just send me an e-mail if you're interested.
