Message: No Kidding. Punctuation and sentence structure are highly under-rated sometimes. Try using a period, or a comma from time to time, at the least.

Message: OK, here we go. I have a 1999 Dakota with the 5.2 liter engine. I replaced the belly pan gasket. Now I can`t run it with the PCV valve installed. If I do it idles low and stalls when I push in the clutch while driving. The valve covers also seem hotter than usual, like the engine isn`t breathing? I also have a punched out catalytic converter, would that have anything to do with it?
Any help would be appreciated.

Message: Man, there's a lot of things to check.
You said the catalytic converters are punched out, does that mean you gutted them before or did you just do this when you replaced the belly pan gasket?
Does the PCV valve work? Did you connect all your vacuum lines and emission hoses back correctly?
It kind of sounds like your exhaust is plugged up.
Have you put a vacuum gauge on your engine to see what the reading is with and without the PCV connected? This is just for starters. Good luck!
