Message: I have a 2002 Dak Quad Cab 4.7L Sport. I am wanting to re-program the PCM, but cannot find a programmer that will work on the 4.7. Thought about the Jet Stage II chip, but from the posts I've seen listed on here, it seems that the Jet chip may not be the way to go... What should I do? I would like to gain some HP (i.e. speed) and get rid of the f#&kin' top speed limiter. Only mods so far is a K&N filter (lost the airbox, large cylindrical filter). Any suggestions will be greatly appriciated.

Message: You might want to look into the ASE chip, or the Kenne Bell flash.

Message: I've researched this and found there are no gains to be realized in the 4.7 by modifying the computer. People with a lot more money and smarts than me confirmed this (Hypertech here in Memphis). Even after installing KRC's 206 cams Hypertech says they can't improve on the stock computer. Dodge did a good job with their intake, exhaust and computer on the 4.7L. Until/unless you do a cam swap, your motor is already giving you it's all.

Message: Not true, there are definite gains to be had modifying a 4.7 PCM. Just because Hypertech says they can't improve on stock doesn't mean it can't be done. I saw a considerable gain from the flash I got.

Message: Kenne Bell advertizes 10hp and ASE claims 26 hp gains. My custom flash got a noticable gain also, mostly in low and mid range torque. Hyperteck just can't see a good profit it for those type of gains on gas engines.
