Subject: EGR IP: Logged
Message: Hi everyone,
I've been researching what engine I want to get, and what parts
to get for it. I've decided on a 360 Magnum. My question is,
what is an EGR? Which years did it come on? Why would I want
it/not want it? etc...
Thanks a lot.

Message: Exhaust Gas Recirculation dilutes the incoming fuel/air mix with, you guessed it, exhaust gas. The reason its there is for lower emissions; the reason people don't like it is that a diluted mix means less power.

Message: Alright, thanks.
So when I'm looking for an engine, I'll avoid the EGR. Do you
know what years since the 360 Magnum was introduced had the
EGR?
