Message: I just changed the filter and fluid in my 99 Dakota 3.9L V6. I adjusted the bands to the best of my ability. What do the bands do and what would happen if they were adjusted to tight or to loose. Thanks guys!
Also how long does the typical alternator last on this model. I hear a high squealing sounds like its coming from alternator. Think maybe the magnetic brushes wearing out, any ideas.
