I've just been thinking about ways to increase fuel mileage, and the best way would be to inject just vapors/air into a cylinder. If I somehow made a mod for my truck that could pull this off, would sending just vapors to the injectors still work, or would the injectors stick open until liquid splashed onto them? Just wishful thinking, but in theory it sounds great. If I ever get the money, I may buy an older truck to try something like this on, but only if the vapors would work. After all, when you inject fuel as a liquid, it just burns and causes engine temps to rise.
