Nope see if you can find a 5.9L Throttle Body form the same year or as late as a 92 and put all your 318 sensors on it including injectors and go that route you will also need to buy the spacer from the dealer or carquest go cardboard it will seal better

1992 and up were MAGNUM motors, different injection system.

yes in the dakota the 318 was magnum but the 360 was still tbi in the ram until the next body style in 93 when it got the magnum

if you are getting 5.9L tbi unit get the pcm as well, will work well

I have heard that it does work but have not seen proof of it nore have i had the chance to swap it with a truck to see if it would work the computer for it is generally expensive an i have not been able to find a cheap one

The 360 TBI and PCM were offered by MP as a performance upgrade in the early 90's. It was called the Shelby Dakota Performance Kit. It consisted of the 360 TBI/360 PCM/and Flowmaster-style low-restriction muffler. If offered 20hp/30ft-lbs torque with no other mods. P4529979. It was also the subject of hp buildups of that time period. That's a sclose to proof as I can get, but why would you doubt that it worked?

i Dont doubt that it worked i just wanted to know more before i go and spend the money on it to see if it works or not but my main concern is the one from mp might have had remaped fuel curves as well as timing. Im willing to try it ist just that all the comps i have found are all over 100 bucks for something that old. plus its real hard to find one here in chevy and ford territory in Michigan
