Subject: Poll...68 or 69mm fastman tb? IP: Logged
Message: Mods: K&N Drop in, H.O. Cams, Magnaflow 2.5 in and dual 2.5 out muffler-back ehaust
History: Had 68mm fastman, great all around power increase, had to return due to pedal vibe. Had this on before teh new exhaust and K&N
Dillema: Gonna purchase new 2004 intake manifold to avoid the peadal vibration problem, considering all the mods i will now have should i step up to the 69mm considering i do not want to sacrifice any low end torque, i don't really go to the track or anything just like the smile on my face the increased power adds.
So, to make a longer story short, should I stick with the true 68 which i know added quite a bit of power, or now that i have a new exhaust and will have a new manifold should i take the risk and step up to a 69mm?

Message: If you have true duals, go with the 70mm. If you have a split into duals, keep the 68-69mm size.

Message: split into duals, NOT true duals...think there will be any benefit as to a 69 over a 68?

Message: Pittdawg, Dan at Fastman says on the site that he strongly recommends the true 68 mm and not any larger. He says he'll make the 2001 and newer TB larger but, there's no significant power increase even with modified vehicles.

Message: Let me rephrase my question if I may, does anyone on this board use a 69mm tb, and if so what effect on the low end did it have?
