 Subject: Bored throttle body question

I bored out my dakota r/t throttle body. It runs good while driving and pulls hard. But at idle it runs ruff and the rpms go from 800 to 1000 and back down again constantly. Also when i give it gas it takes a while for it to go back down. Like its got some really good vacuum going on in the intake.
Should i be worried? Of is this normal for bigger/bored throttle bodys.
Please help thanks!

if you cut the tq step out and you got to close to the blades you may have incresaed the gap between the blades this will cause bad idle.
you might try cleaning the IAC if you havent already
other than that your TB is trash

I've got a feeling that that nasty response from "dakotaracer" was actually MORONmagic impersonating dakotaracer. Some people don't have a life so they visit these boards trying to stir up trouble to amuse themselves. Intresting i leave for a day and all this sprung up.
Ohhhh well
I fixed my throttle body, just had to adjust the butterflys and back out the idle screw a little bit. Works like a charm now. I figured that the gap was an issue. Just had to confirm.

thanks capone, janesy, Kowalski, and Rob C, i am used to seeing r/t like this R/T, so i overlooked it, like i said the site admin. needs to start banning IP addresses of people that post stupid comments meant to start BS. that should make this place more enjoyable to visit. i get enough drama at work in the military, that when i come to our dakota sites last thing i want to see is someone flaming someone else for giving an opinion or advice THAT THEY ASKED FOR!!!
