Need help with improving gas milage...

Can anyone help me with some info... I need to get some fuel pressure measurements from the 5.2/5.9 motors at idle, can anyone help with this?

I posted this message on another board...

Hey guys... need help with fuel pressure #'s. As some of you may recall, I mentioned that I was going to look into improving the fuel economy on the Ram.

Well, the 1st place to look is the fuel pressure. Measured mine yesterday and with the engine off and fuel rails presurized, mine holds steady @ 42psi... no leaky fuel injectors.

With the engine running @ idle, pressure is @ 49psi which is out of spec (38? - 45? psi... can't remember exact #'s but it was high by 4-5psi).

Now for the help needed... can several of you (the more the better) measure your fuel pressure @ idle and post the results here? Will also need to know your engine size & if you have it your est mpg.
*/

HELP!

I am willing to use my Ram as a test vehicle to try some of the ideas I have for improving fuel economy, I just need more info from other dodge owners.

TIA
-Steve
