 Subject: Crank sensor ?

The diagnostic scope came back saying I needed to replace the crank sensor, before I go crawling around anyone know or could someone point me in the right direction as to where it's located.

The Crank sensors are usually found somewhere around behind the big pulley on the front of the engine.
But, to make sure, goto a dodge dealer and ask the parts guy to pull up the the print on the computer. This is the simplest way.
That's what i did with my speed sensor on my 2000 Durango.

I am not sure where it is on the v8s but on the v6's it is on top of the tranny bell housing close to the oil filter.

It's a 1998 with a 5.2 / 318 !

On the 92-94's 5.2l it's in the bell housing. I would assume it is the same for all 5.2L.

While you are at it check the KRC web site for the crank sensor mod. And yep, it's on the top of the bellhousing, just behind the right side cyl. head, two bolts and it's out.

also where the heck is the crank sensor located?
